My client a leading software house require a Software Developer to be involved in the development and deployment of Web-based products. You will be required to implement and configure software written using Tapestry Java Component-based framework, HTML, and JavaScript, running under Solaris and Win32 operating systems.
Experience
Candidates will ideally be educated to degree level in a computer or technology based discipline and have a minimum of 2 years experience with a majority in server-side development. You will have development experience in Java, Java Servlets, Struts and JSP, and have exposure to Component-based Java framework such as Tapestry, Java Server Faces or Wicket.
Desirable
Previous experience of developing applications for the internet; SQL database experience, ideally with MySQL; Perl scripting experience; Other technical skills should include at least 2 of the following: Apache and Tomcat, XSLT and XML, Apache Ant, Subversion, Win32 development using Eclipse or similar IDE, full text or RDBMS database design, Unix programming; DHTML, XHTML.
Candidates will be considered form locations such as Cambridge, Huntingdon, Peterborough, Hertford etc, or those willing to relocate at their own expense.
